Assassin's Creed: Valhalla Much More Popular Than Odyssey

Everything indicates that AC Valhalla is much more popular than Assassin's Creed: Odyssey. Ubisoft boasted that on the day of launch, twice as many users played the new title as the previous installment.

IN A NUTSHELL:

  1. Twice as many people played AC: Valhalla played on the day of launch as the previous installment;
  2. Ubisoft's CEO is satisfied with the game and believes it will be one of the biggest hits of this year's holiday season.

It seems that despite numerous bugs and technical issues, Assassin's Creed: Valhalla met with a very warm reception from the players. Ubisoft informed in a press release that on the day of launch the game was played by twice as many people as the previous previous, that is Assassin's Creed: Odyssey.

The company did not share specific numbers, but it seems that the reception of the game is at least satisfactory. It is worth noting that today, with the launch of PlayStation 5 in some countries, a new edition of the game, dedicated to Sony's new hardware, will be released. The game is now available on PC, Google Stadia, as well as PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S consoles. Yves Guillemot, the CEO of Ubisoft, emphasized that in the era of the pandemic, releasing the game on seven platforms simultaneously was a challenge.

“We are humbled by the reception from the players and extremely proud of what our teams have accomplished with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, which builds on the amazing success of its predecessors. In the context of COVID-19, shipping Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla on no less than seven platforms is an incredible achievement for all of the teams involved around the world. We are excited to greet players on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 with a game that unleashes the power of the new hardware. This paves the way for an exciting holiday, with Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla set to be one of this season’s biggest hits," said Guillemot.

Let us recall that Assassin's Creed: Valhalla launched two days ago. The title was well received by the reviewers (we gave it 8/10).
