I think no one is surprised by the success of Baldur’s Gate 3. The game took our computers by the storm, only to prepare for Playstation 5 campaign on 6th of September this year. Despite its price of 60USD, it is already more popular on Steam than many other renown titles. Let’s not forget that the game originally was available in Early Access program for around 3 years, making its official debut in full version yesterday. Probably being a remnant of its testing period, there is a small annoyance that might have caught your eye. Under minimap in top right-hand corner, there is a version number. If you want to get rid of it, we have a tip for you.

How to hide version number in Baldur’s Gate 3

As already mentioned, the version number is most probably something that the developers from Larian Studios forgot to hide in the final product. It is nothing unusual to have it shown while the title is in Early Access but is rather unheard of in full release.

Unfortunately, there is no official way to hide the pesky number in BG3. There is no setting or button that will help you out and hide that one annoyance. If you are a screenshot artist though, there might be a workaround for you. By clicking F10 on your keyboard you can hide the whole User Interface and the version mark will disappear alongside it. This is obviously not a long-term solution, but it’s something that can help you capture the beauty of the world of Forgotten Realms with its dwellers.

Since this is most likely creators’ overlook, we can expect this to be fixed anytime soon. Until then, focus on the mysterious and dangerous world that they have meticulously crafted, and the number under the minimap will quickly disappear.
