Baldur’s Gate: Siege of Dragonspear to come in early 2016

Baldur’s Gate: Siege of Dragonspear will be released in early 2016. This big, story-driven expansion to Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition is now content complete and should arrive soon.

Baldur’s Gate: Siege of Dragonspear, a big expansion to Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition announced back in July, is slated for release in early 2015. This is going to be a fat piece of content featuring brand new story with bunch of quests, locations, and four companions, not to mention items, spells, etc. Story-wise, Siege of Dragonspear will serve as a bridge between the enhanced editions of Baldur’s Gate and Baldur’s Gate II. All in all, the expansion will offer 25-30 hours of gameplay. And to think that this project originated as a small, $2-worth DLC, according to what Trent Oster from Beamdog told Dragon+.

Early 2015 is a pretty large window, but we can expect Baldur’s Gate: Siege of Dragonspear to come rather sooner than later. As noted by PC Gamer, Trent Oster twitted yesterday that the expansion is now content complete, so the only thing left to do is find and terminate any remaining bugs and put the final polish.
