Floating Origin Studios and The Irregular Corporation announced Balsa Model Flight Simulator - a simulator that allows you to build, paint and fly a wooden aircraft model. Felipe „HarvesteR” Falanghe, the creator of the Kerbal Space Program, is responsible for the production.

A flight simulator dealing with... wooden models.

Floating Origin Studios and The Irregular Corporation have announced a new flight simulator... Well, sort of. The game is called Balsa Model Flight Simulator and enables us to build and fly wooden aircraft models. And only them. Interestingly, the title's main designer is Felipe "HarvesteR" Falanghe, the creator of the iconic Kerbal Space Program. Below you will find the first trailer.

Balsa Model Flight Simulator will enable us not only to fly models, but also to design, build and paint them. Players will have an extensive editor at their disposal, but using it should be simple and intuitive. We can also count on support for mods, thanks to which the game will certainly get a lot of additional content.

The game will offer a flight model based on the laws of physics and a system of aerial combat using paintballs. The game will include several maps and gameplay modes - including a free sandbox module, a single player campaign, where we can earn money and develop our plane, and even a sixteen-person multiplayer mode.

Balsa Model Flight Simulator is coming only to PC. The exact release date of Floating Origin Studios' new game is not yet known, but according to the information on Steam, it should be released next summer (most likely in early access).
