Leaked Battlefield 2042 Theme Divided the Fans; Great or Terrible?

The official soundtrack from Battlefield 2042 is now available across the web. Aside from the discussions about the authenticity of the leak, the most exciting thing was the new music theme, which was not to the liking of many fans.

The official soundtrack for of Battlefield 2042, consisting of 14 tracks, has surfaced on the web. It appeared on YouTube thanks to user UberKritz, and was previously spotted on 4chan.

Reactions to the leak are mixed, especially when it comes to the new version of Battlefield's main theme (the last track). For many, it's just a disjointed mashup of sounds (and possibly even a version from corrupted file), though there have also been those who have no major complaints about the arrangement.

Of course, the authenticity of this leak remains an open topic. However, the official information about the soundtrack (i.e. the number and titles of tracks and the duration) suggest that we are dealing with a genuine leak. We will know for sure on September 22, together with the album's official release. Battlefield 2042 itself will be released on October 22 on PC and PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.
