Bethesda Launcher Migration to Steam Starts Next Week

Starting next week, users of the launcher offered by Bethesda will be able to transfer the games they own to Steam. The platform of Skyrim's creators, which has existed for six years, will be shut down in May.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  1. The migration of games from Bethesda Launcher to Steam will be possible from April 27;
  2. The platform will officially close on May 11 - however, migration will also be possible after that date;
  3. In case of connection with the wrong account on Steam, the process will be reversible.

Bethesda Launcher is slowly coming to the end of its existence. From April 27, users of the platform will be able to start the process of transferring their games to Steam. According to the announcements of Bethesda Softworks, by this date there will also appear a manual that will facilitate the entire process.

The company has scheduled closing of the launcher on May 11. After this date, migration will still be possible, but it is recommended to use this option as soon as possible.

Bethesda - Steam migration will include games, DLCs and virtual wallet

Bethesda has been advertising the use of the launcher for the past six years, with content available exclusively on the platform to encourage it. As a result of the migration, they will also be added to Valve Corporation's digital store.

  • In accordance with Bethesda's announcements, the process will enable us to transfer not only purchased titles, but also virtual currency and DLCs to Steam.
  • Many games will still require a Bethesda.net account to work.
  • In most cases game saves will be imported automatically.However, some items will require us to copy the data ourselves and place them in the appropriate folder. The company plans to provide more information on this subject soon (probably a manual will be prepared).
  • Keys purchased for the Bethesda launcher will be usable on Steam after the platform closes.
  • In the case of connecting a Bethesda.net account with an incorrect Steam account it will be possible to reverse the process. The company has announced that users will be able to use this option several times, but so far has not given any details.

More information about the migration can be found on Bethesda's official website. The company updates the post on a regular basis, as well as answers questions about the "move" to Steam.
