Biomutant PC Gets New Update; Improved Dialogues, Visuals And New Difficulty Level

Biomutant has received an extensive patch which adds a number of new features and improves what critics have touted as the most annoying gameplay elements. For now, only the owners of the PC version of the game can enjoy patch 1.4.

PATCH 1.4 FOR BIOMUTANT ON PC:
  • Improved dialogues;
  • Improved gameplay on new difficulty level;
  • Improved graphics;
  • Massively improved combat system;
  • Fixes for many bugs in the game world and interface.

Biomutant was developed by Experiment 101 and the devs do not intend to remain deaf to the voices of disapproval. Fans have waited a long time for the one-of-a-kind kung-fu action RPG, and the release took place on May 25. However, the item immediately met with mixed reception from the players. The day after the launch, Biomutant had 2,354 reviews on Steam, 55% of which were positive. Currently, the situation looks a little better: 66% of the 7,104 reviews are favorable. Today,Biomutant has received a sizable update that aims to fix some of the more controversial aspects of the gameplay, as well as improve on others.

According to the developers' note, the new patch improved one of the most irritating features of the game. The most important changes: the period of "mumbling" before the narrator starts translating their lines will be reduced, and players will be able to choose whether they want to hear the voiceover, the "mumbling" or both. In addition, the patch improves the mixing, timing and volume of audio tracks so that they mesh better when performed together.

Experiment 101 doesn't just focus on fixing Biomutant's issues. Despite the many criticisms, one thing is clear: the game is simply pretty, but it seems that the update adds a number of visual enhancements to the game, including the option to reduce or completely turn off motion blur. This is good news especially for those who want to play Biomutant at a higher frame rate. This setting will help enhance rich landscapes and furry characters that will look even better in action.

The patch also implements a new difficulty level, called Extreme, which will introduce gameplay enhancements on PC. What's more, the players starting the New Game+ will now be able to learn the skills of all classes, regardless of the original build of their character. The full list of changes can be found here.
