Bloober Team Updates Status of Work on Silent Hill 2 Remake; Konami Decides When We'll Learn Details
Bloober Team revealed how work on the Silent Hill 2 remake is going, saying, „We're certain it's worth the wait.” How long? That depends on Konami.
Wondering how work is progressing on the remake of Silent Hill 2? The Polish studio responsible for the game, Bloober Team, claims on X/Twitter, that the work is going well - "smoothly and according to plan." In addition, the developer is aware of the community's high interest.
So will any information be revealed in the near future? Maybe we will see gameplay? It turns out that Bloober Team's hands are tied in this matter. The decision belongs to the Japanese company Konami, which is the game's publisher. The developer has only assured that it is worth waiting for it.

Such move - if one suggests changes introduced recently on the game's card on Steam - could happen relatively soon. These indications, perhaps heralding the release of the remake of Silent Hill 2 in early 2024, may - but need not - mean that the game will be presented at The Game Awards 2023 gala, which will take place on December 7.
Interestingly, back in October 2022. we received information that the remake of Silent Hill 2 is at a "late stage of development." At the time, Bloober Team's CEO Piotr Babieno revealed that the game had been in development for three years. Thus, the game is currently taking about four years. Juxtaposing this with the announcement in question, one can guess that the release of the remake of Silent Hill 2 is quite imminent.
