Fixing of the disappointing condition of Cities: Skylines II contiues. Today, this economic strategy game received another minor update. The list of changes consists of more than twenty items, most of which are minor bug fixes. The most important of these relate to models and behaviors of city residents:

  1. "undesirable clothing variations" have been fixed;
  2. residents have been encouraged to park their vehicles in lots instead of on roadsides;
  3. eliminated the problem of citizens changing clothes when they leave or enter buildings;

In addition:

  1. The air pollution mechanic has been fixed (primarily on the Tempere map, which is problematic in this regard);
  2. Balanced the cost of building and maintaining parking lots, electricity and water consumption, garbage collection, experience point rewards and various workplace-related items.
  3. increased the range of services and capacity of the elementary school, medical clinic, hospital, fire station, police station and police headquarters;
  4. fixed a bug with a black screen that could display during offline play;
  5. reduced the number of instances leading to a drop in texture resolution;
  6. improved textures of areas with cliffs.

You can take a look at all the changes that have hit the game as part of the latest 1.0.14f1 hotfix here.

The developers noted in today's news that this is the last such patch for now. They had already announced, that instead of small, frequent updates they will now release much larger ones, but less frequently. So don't expect another patch as early as next week.

Recall that Colossal Order is primarily focused on optimization of Cities: Skylines II and eliminating as many bugs from the game as possible. Only after the game's technical condition is improved can fans expect the first DLCs (including free ones), the debut of the editor and the game's release on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, which is expected in the first half of 2024.
