Civilization 7 players get premature access to next DLC. Firaxis or Sony may have accidentally caused this
After a major update to Civilization 7, some players received access to the next DLC more than two weeks in advance.

The developers of Sid Meier's Civilization 7 accidentally unlocked DLC for players in the new update. Or someone did it for them.
The seventh Civ, despite interesting and even well-received changes, didn't impress players at launch. This is why the Firaxis Games team quickly announced they would patch their game. Yesterday, the 1.1 update hit the game, and with it came a lot of fixes and some new content.
This is the first major update to Civilization 7, which improves the user interface and "unpacking" of armies, as well as restores crossplay between PCs and consoles. Besides, there are balance changes (including souvenirs) and AI, as well as improvements to almost every element of the game. You can find the full list of changes for PC and consoles on the game's official website.
Of course, the fixes please the players, but their moods remain gloomy. Fans are drawing attention to the ongoing problems, including with the recently released Great Britain. Many players are still convinced that they are acting as beta testers - almost a month after its release.
Moreover, Firaxis Games accidentally unlocked Simon Bolivar, Nepal, and Belgium. The DLC with these additions was supposed to be released for the game on March 25, and it will be automatically made available to buyers of the more expensive editions of the game. The thing is, some people with these editions seemingly already have access to these new features (via Reddit).
Of course, fans immediately started asking for details about Bolivar and both nations, including the rewards of that leader. Yet, resignation prevails in the comments - this is further evidence for fans that Civilization 7 was launched far too soon.
It's worth adding that the "issue" only concerns PlayStation 5 - at least for now, there have been no reports of a similar bug on PC or other platforms. So it's possible that, just in this case, Sony, rather than Firaxis Games or Take-Two Interactive, is responsible for the mistake.
