Coop multiplayer in HumanitZ? All you need to know

Survival games have various themes. So, our characters can end up for example in a mysterious fantasy world or an extremely hostile post-apocalypse. One thing is sure, we will have to face an unfriendly environment. In HumanitZ, world’s end is caused by the zombie outbreak. So, you have to gather resources, build a base and fight hordes of undead. Now, you can also check the content from update called Saddles & Settlements. Of course, you don’t have to do this alone. You can also invite your friends.

Coop multiplayer in HumanitZ explained

Like I said earlier, HumanitZ offers multiplayer. So, you can gather your friends to play together. Of course this doesn’t mean you have to cooperate. You can also try PvP and fight each other for supplies. Everything depends on your preferences.

However, you must keep in mind that HumanitZ supports up to 24 players (though it is planned to be increased in the future), but you will need the Internet. There is no local co-op here. You can join official servers, if you want, or host your own game for friends. Alternatively, there is also a possibility to create dedicated server. To do this, you must download HZ_Server. Of course, you have to configure settings properly to make the game work. Don’t worry, you don't have to have deep technical knowledge of the topic. Developers from Yodubzz Studios posted an instruction on the Steam forum.

If you still want a dedicated server, but can't be bothered to start it yourself, you can also pay and rent an external one. Developers are suggesting using Shockbyte services. You can customize where the server is and how many players can join. Additionally, you can install mods.
