Cosmoteer - crew management and transfer

On this page you will learn all about crew management and transfer at Cosmoteer. We will tell you how to make your crew more efficient.

Cosmoteer has attracted a large number of players who struggle daily to create more and more costructions and ships. In this guide, we will tell you how to effectively manage your crew and transfer them if necessary.

Remember that Cosmoteer is an early access game, so the information provided here may become outdated over time.

Crew management

To manage your crew first, select your ship. Then look at the bottom left corner of the screen. Select the icon with the image of a person.

This will open the crew management menu for you. There you will be able to see Rooster, which will allow you to view a list of crew members and their assigned roles. More importantly, however, in this tab you will be able to freely assign tasks and group your crewmen.

At the bottom of the screen, in the centre, you will see an image of a person. Next to it you can find an option to add new ones. This is the crew management menu. All you have to do is right-click on any character and then select Edit roles. Now you will be able to set the colour and name of the icon. But more than that - in the Job Priorities tab you will be able to set the priority of tasks for each role.

To assign a role to your people you must select it and then press Bunk or Quarters. This will cause the people assigned to the beds in question to change their colour and task priority.

As your ship grows, role management may become necessary. It's worth assigning special people to manage key jobs, such as Weapons, Flight or Power.

Crew transfer

Sooner or later you will probably want to transfer your crew to another ship. This can be useful when reinforcing a newly built ship or taking over an enemy ship (you can learn more about these topics here: Cosmoteer - multiple ships; how to build a second ship?).

To do this, you just need to be in the area of the ship to which you want to transfer the crew. However, it is important that it does not have a damaged Hatch. You can now press the 3 horizontal dashes in the lower left corner of the screen. Select Transfer Crew and the number of personnel to move.
