Cyberpunk 2077 Hotfix 1.22 Goes Live; Patch Notes Summary

CD Projekt RED released a new update for Cyberpunk 2077. Hotfix 1.22 and focuses on fixing bugs in missions, improving performance and reducing number of graphic issues.

HOTFIX 1.22 INCLUDES:
  • Fixed bugs that prevented progress in some missions;
  • Improved performance and memory management;
  • Number of visual glitches with clipped NPC clothes was reduced.

A new patch for Cyberpunk 2077, Hotfix 1.22, has been released and is now available on PC, consoles and Google Stadia. PC players need to download about 1.5 GB (Steam) or 587 MB (GOG.com). According to user reports, on Xbox One the patch "weighs" 23.95 GB, 15.5 GB on PS4 and one of our editors with Xbox Series X had to download 15.17 GB.

CD Projekt RED describes the patch as a hoftix, so it contains mainly small fixes, primarily for issues reported by players after the release of the previous patch. Traditionally, engine stability and game performance have also been improved.

Hotfix 1.22 removes quite a few issues that made it difficult to complete missions such as Gig: Until Death Do Us Part, Epistrophy, New Dawn Fades or Riders on the Storm. With the patch, we should also see NPCs' clothes clip less frequently.

As far as performance improvements are concerned, hotfix 1.22 improves memory management and GPU performance when rendering models and fabrics. In addition, the Google Stadia version fixes a bug causing the game to lock up in the key assignment menu in situations where the keyboard is not available.

Cyberpunk 2077 was released on December 10, 2020 on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Google Stadia. The game debuted in a terrible technical condition and since then the devs have been trying to bring it to a decent level. There is still a lot to do before that ideal is achieved, but the developers do not intend to give up and announced that they will not abandon the game.
