Cyberpunk 2077 Will Not Cost More on PS5 and XSX

CD Projekt RED provided answers to investor questions. It was revealed that the price of the game on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X will not be increased and that the microtransactions in multiplayer mode will not be aggressive.

Good news for those waiting for Cyberpunk.

The release of Cyberpunk 2077 is approaching in great steps, and, therefore, we get to know more and more details about the new title of CD Projekt RED. During a recent investor call, the devs of the Witcher series answered some questions. What were they asked about?

Reading the transcript from the conference, we can find out a little bit about the company's plans. Although the topic of the meeting was not a specific game, and the summary of the first half of 2020, a lot of attention was paid to Cyberpunk 2077. Thanks to questions from the investors, we found out, among other things, that the price of the pre-order will not be increased to 70 USD for Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 versions. Therefore, the company does not intend to follow the example of EA and Activision, for which the games designed for next generation consoles need to be more pricey. CD Projekt also expect that, as in the case of Wild Hunt, interest in Cyberpunk 2077 pre-orders will increase in the last weeks before the release. But the devs already have reasons to be happy. Although they haven't disclosed a specific number of copies sold, they have revealed that their new work is doing even better in this respect than the last The Witcher.

It has also been announced that DLCs released after the game's launch will follow the path set by additions to the third installment of The Witcher. Moreover, soon we can expect more information about them.

There have also been questions about how aggressive will be the microtransactions in multiplayer of Cyberpunk 2077. As the developers have assured, they will remain friendly to gamers and although there will be shopping options in the game, they will not be a nuisance. They are meant to please, not upset the players.

Cyberpunk 2077 will hit PC, PS4 and Xbox One on November 19. The game will also be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
