Dead Space Will Return? New Game From Motive is Coming to EA Play [UPDATED]

EA Play Live may bring the announcement of a new title from EA Motive. That's according to Jeff Grubb, who has been teasing the production for a few months now. At the moment it's not known what exactly the game is, but there's a chance that it's Dead Space.

Update: After Grubb's revelations, other websites decided to back up his words. Eurogamer and Gematsu have also announced that they have heard about the imminent announcement of EA Motive's latest project. They suggest that it will be related to the Dead Space franchise.

The EA Play Live show, organized by Electronic Arts, will take placenext month. Although there is still no official information about what will be presented during it, there are various rumors. According to Jeff Grubb, a new title from EA Motive will be announced on July 22.

Grubb provided information about the unannounced game back in March. It was then that he announced that Motive was working on a "well-known IP". This may have been confirmed in part by the studio itself, which in an entry posted on its official website stated that several unannounced titles are being worked on.

At this point we can only speculate as to which brand it's about. On June 15, Grubb used the phrase "we'll see it... as long as we're not dead by then" during the broadcast. According to the community, this may suggest that he's referring to the Dead Space franchise, which was developed by the now-defunct Visceral Games. However, this is just a guess and could just as well be about a completely different IP. So fra, EA Motive has only dealt with games from the universe of Star Wars, so it is likely that they will continue to work on them.

Grubb is not giving out exact details because, as he says, he's not allowed do that yet. However, he announced that he will make more details public in the near future.

Please note that this is just a rumor and it does not have to be true. Jeff Grubb, however, is considered a reliable source, which, although not infallible, delivers true information in many cases. There was even a special entry on Reddit, which summarizes all the revelations announced by him and indicates whether he was right.
