Yesterday's "premiere" of Demonologist was quite a surprise. Last month the game received patch 0.5, so this suggested that the game was about halfway through its path to full release. Additional doubts were also raised by the fact that the developers from Clock Wizard Games did not announce that they planned to leave early access. Two days ago on the official Discord channel they only posted a message that the next update would be released soon.
Not surprisingly, fans of the game are confused and don't know what exactly is going on. Some assume that it is a simple bug. Others, on the other hand, assume that it could be some form of cheating.
However, there is a good chance that this is simply an oversight by the developers. The game's release in early access took place six months ago. So it is possible that the developers originally assumed that this amount of time would be enough to complete work on the game.
Of course, at this point one can only speculate what actually happened. However, we will only know the truth when the developers at Clock Wizard Games decide to issue a statement on the subject. It's been several hours since the release, so it's strange that it hasn't happened yet.
