Would you like to destroy those pinecones in Grounded 2? You need the tier 3 hammer to do that. Let’s talk about it.

As a survival, Grounded 2 is focused on gathering resources. Of course, to do that we need proper tools – omni-tool. It is one tool, which is divided into hammer, axe, shovel and wrench. Quite soon after beginning the game, we discover a resource which needs to be processed with tier 3 hammer. It is pinecone. However, obtaining this item is quite enigmatic, right? We will need to wait to use it.
So you are looking for a way to craft tier 3 tools? Especially the hammer, as you have seen something which can be destroyed with it? The shortest answer is that you can’t do it. Let’s look at tier 3 hammer requirements to upgrade.
As you can see it costs 3000 Science and… Currently, the rest of the resources is not listed in the blueprint. Notice that it is uncommon. In the case of previous tiers, even when we had not discovered the material, we saw its name (with some question marks). It is different with Tier 3 hammer. The answer to this mystery is simple – it is not in the game yet. We need to remember that Grounded 2 is not completed yet. It is Early Access after all.
When to expect tier 3? Developers have announced a roadmap. Thanks to that we know that the update with tier 3 tools will be in winter. So, we will need to wait some time to destroy those pinecones!
However, even now we can destroy acorns or berries. It is possible to get many more resources. We explain how to get the most elusive of them (and more) in our Grounded 2 guide. So, feel free to use it. Of course, the game is EA, so our guide will also change with it. Return here from time to time. Watch out for spiders and scorpions and good luck.
