In today's promotional material, titled "A New Saga: Game Overview," developers from Blizzard Entertainment share information about the plot of the latest installment of Diablo.
The grim reality of Sanctuary
The story in Diablo IV begins 50 years after the events of the Reaper of Souls DLC for Diablo III. The human race, whose numbers have been reduced by half, is struggling to make ends meet in the new, unfavorable conditions.
If that weren't enough, Inarius and Lilith - a pair consisting of an archangel and a demoness who centuries earlier created the world of Sanctuary - descend on the world once again.. Caught between a hammer and an anvil, humanity can certainly expect nothing good in the face of the impending clash between two powerful entities.
Where is the place for the player in this?
We are introduced to the character of the main protagonist as he or she tries to find shelter from the cold in an area known as the Shattered Peaks. Entering a mysterious cave, the player becomes embroiled in a vortex of events that will decide the future of the human world.

Representatives of the studio announced that in the course of the adventure we will have the opportunity to meet characters known from previous installments of Diablo. Certain structures and organizations, such as the decadent Horadrim Order, will also be mentioned.
The release of Diablo IV is just over three weeks away - the debut will take place on June 6 on PC, PS5, XSX/S, PS4 and XOne. Let's hope that the latest installment of the hit series will live up to fans' expectations not only in terms of gameplay, but also in terms of story, while the lore of Sanctuary will be enriched with a new and interesting chapter.
