Disco Elysium unexpectedly received an update with a new feature. Collage mode will spark your imagination with the ability to create original scenes.
The new update unexpectedly introduced an interesting feature to the narrative RPG Disco Elysium. It is collage mode, which from today all PC owners of the game can try out for free. The developers have indicated that the update will become available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch consoles in the coming days. You can see what you can expect from the new option in a short trailer released by the developers (below).
With the collage mode, you can come up with brand new, funny or dramatic scenes with well-known characters, possibly recreating and modifying those present in the game. The developers themselves seem to encourage to use it in the most humorous context possible.
"Take the helm of the narrative with the option to enter your own dialogues in collage mode, which will enable you to tell any story straight from the heart.
Create drama and comedy - from memorable fights to forbidden kisses. Attach screenshots directly from the game to your fan fiction.
Collage mode provides almost unlimited room for show-offs - even the silliest ones."
When creating shots, the player can embellish them with filters, frames or stickers. On top of that collage mode enables you to change the weather, actors' poses or objects held by them, and add your own dialogues. Unfortunately, at this point in the game there is no option to share your works with others, but the developers mention the possibility of sharing them, for example, on Twitter.
