More than 1.5 years have passed since the launch of Dying Light 2, but Techland has not stopped improving the title. The developers proved their commitment with the latest update, bearing the number 1.12.

And although the patch was prepared with all platforms in mind, owners of the console version of the game should be especially pleased.

  1. From the update log made available on Techland's official website, we learn that the patch will enable PlayStation, Xbox and Steam Deck users to use maps created by the community. However, the developers note that some of them may not be fully playable at first, but they will make "every effort to optimize the system and provide players with more maps in the future."
  2. The update also introduces DL points, for which the community will be able to purchase new skins without leaving the game.. Interestingly, after installing the patch, each player will receive 500 points, which they will be able to collect until October 7 and thus test the entire system.
  3. The list of novelties is completed by a crossover with Payday 2. Players will be tasked with defeating infected bandits roaming the streets. The reward will be special diamonds, thanks to which we will be able to achieve the goals of the event. The action will last until September 21.
  4. In addition, the developers have added the ability to choose the level of brutality, skip the prologue, or activate a new type of game modifier - Transformation.
  5. The update also improves some aspects of gameplay, interface and eliminates quite a few bugs.

The full list of changes of patch 1.12 can be examined here.

Finally, let us remind you that a few weeks ago it was announced that China's Tencent bought a majority stake in Techland. We can only hope that the transaction will have a positive impact on the Polish company, and that the cash injection will help in the development of future projects, including the mysterious action RPG on which the developers have been working for some time now.
