Source: Split Fiction, Developer: Hazelight

Split Fiction was released a few minutes ago. The game is gathering more and more players. As the title is focused on coop experience (the developer is not saying no for single player in the future, though), it is possible for 2 people to play with only 1 purchased copy of the game. Quite a nice idea, isn’t it? However it is good, when it works. Right now, it seems that some players have issues with launching Friend’s Pass.

Error while downloading Split Fiction Friend’s Pass

It seems that some players have error while trying to download Split Fiction Friend’s Pass. Instead of the game, they see a message:

An error occurred while processing your request: There was a problem adding this product to your Steam account.

As the game requires 2 people to play, such issue is quite problematic not only for one person but for two. Right now, it is difficult to say what precisely the reason for such issue and the fix / workaround are. However, if you experience this error, try to restart Steam and run it as administrator.

Remember that Friend’s Pass features crossplay. It means that you are not restricted to the same platform as the friend who owns the game. So, if you experience issues, but have an alternative (for example a console or a different PC platform like Epic Games Store), you should be able to play without problems using this account. Let’s hope that the source of the error will be soon located and removed.
