ETS2: Heart of Russia Won't be Released Until Ukraine 'Heals'

We learned the fate of the Heart of Russia DLC for ETS2. The expansion will not be released until the war in Ukraine ends.

In March we wrote about the uncertain fate of the Heart of Russia DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2. SCS Software has now announced its official stance on the matter. The expansion will not be released until the war in Ukraine is over.

Heart of Russia will come out after Ukraine wins

As we can read in the message, the creators of the title want to be as apolitical as possible. Despite this, they are unable to release the Heart of Russia expansion for ETS2 - because it concerns a country that has committed aggression against Ukraine and caused the suffering of thousands of people. They don't want the release to be seen as an act of support for the Russians and their actions.

SCS Software has not completely scrapped the DLC, however. It has announced that if Ukraine wins the war and its "healing" and rebuilding begins, the studio will try to make Heart of Russia part of that process..

Ukrainian Paint Jobs Pack Sales Summary

At the same time, the developers announced the results of sales of charity DLC Ukrainian Paint Jobs Pack, the profits from which are donated to help the Ukrainians. This small expansion was purchased by more than 85,000 people.

If you are also interested in supporting and own ETS2 you can still purchase the aforementioned DLC. It costs less than a dollar.
