„Exotic” expansion to popular strategy brings great empires out of history graveyard. HoI4: Graveyard of Empires with release date
Graveyard of Empires, a new expansion to the Hearts of Iron 4 strategy, will take us into the heart of the struggle for supremacy, between the Euphrates River and the Bay of Bengal. Elephants will also be included.
A new expansion is heading to Hearts of Iron IV, dedicated to the exotic regions of Asia, specifically British India, Iran, Iraq, and Afghanistan. We will also bet a new campaign, telling about the struggle for dominance in the lands located between the Euphrates River and the Bay of Bengal.
The Graveyard of Empires expansion will be available from March 4th - separately (the price hasn't yet been revealed) or as part of the Expansion Pass costing $36.99.
What can we expect as part of the expansion? First and foremost, new dedicated focus trees for the countries mentioned above. They will focus on resistance to European expansion.
- Iran will oppose the domination of the USSR and the British Empire. If we succeed, we will get a chance to establish the Persian Empire.
- The British Indies will focus on internal tensions between independence movements and the authorities. Depending on the decisions made, we will be able to bring about the revival of the East India Company or the Mughal Empire.
- Iraq will focus on the religious-ethnic conflict. As part of its focus tree, we will choose whether to join the allied countries and whether to cultivate the doctrine of pan-Arabism. Oil fields are to be an important element of the gameplay.
- Afghanistan will have significant freedom in choosing its path: it can choose neutrality or development, leading to the region's industrialization and the rise of a new power.
This, however, isn't everything. In Graveyard of Empires, other attractions are also waiting for us, including new 3D models of vehicles for each country, as well as elephants. You can find the announcement of the plot part of the expansion along with the gameplay fragments below.
