What reviewers are saying about F1 22

Here's what those who have already played the game have to say about F1 22:

"F1 22 is as close to an accurate simulation of the real sport as you can get, while offering an unprecedented level of experience customization. It's a title that others should emulate in terms of control put in the player's hands."

Jordan Andow (The Outerhaven Productions; 5/5)

"While I'm a little saddened by the omission of story mode this time around, the new driving physics more than make up for it. Fears that the F1 Life module would affect gameplay were exaggerated, and F1 22 is another great lap for Codemasters."

Steven John Dawson (GameGrin; 9/10)

"F1 22 is a game for everyone, from the casual gamer who just wants to race, to the seasoned pro who, like in F1 2004, fires up the engine and goes for the fastest time in the red car. For this and many other reasons F1 22 is a title unlike any we've seen for a long time, capable of inspiring passion for Formula One in a wide and varied audience, while leaving no one behind, in keeping with the philosophy the sport has sought to convey in recent years."

Matteo Tellurio (SpaceNerd.it; 8.5/10)

"[...] another great career mode, but it's the avatar customization and supercars that seem to be the highlights."

Justin Towell (PC Gamer; 84/100)

"Whether you're a newcomer to the series or someone who has spent many hours perfecting their craft, F1 22 is still the best way to bring the Formula One action into your own home. While it could use some fresh ideas outside of the F1 Life mode window, I can't wait to see the direction the series takes from here."

Matt Porter (Dexerto; 8/10)

"[F1 22 - ed. note] has built on the foundations of some fantastic games whose features haven't gone away - but you've already bought them [i.e. the previous games]. F1 22 just doesn't offer enough new to pay full price".

Phil Iwaniuk (PCGamesN; 7/10)

Reviewers praise the great driving model, the successful career mode, the extensive customisation options and the true-to-life motorsport atmosphere. F1 22 doesn't fall below the level of its predecessors, but at the same time doesn't seem to offer much in the way of new features and It might as well have been released as DLC for F1 2021.

It's another solid entry for Formula One enthusiasts, regardless of your level of motoring expertise. But if you were expecting a revolution, it did not happen this year.
