Monster Hunter: Rise - Sunbreak Takes Top Weekly Spots on Steam

Monster Hunter: Rise - Sunbreak proved to be a huge hit on Steam, taking the base game to new levels of popularity.

As every Monday a list of the biggest (by revenue) bestsellers of the past week on Steam has been released.

There were some big changes in the top 10 thanks to two highly anticipated launches. The list is also heavily influenced by the still ongoing summer sale. On the other hand, the best-selling game of the previous list, namely. Final Fantasy VII Remake: Intergrade, dropped out of the top ten.

Excellent debut of Monster Hunter: Rise - Sunbreak

As expected, a great success was the release of the Monster Hunter: Rise - Sunbreak DLC, whose different editions took second and third spot in the list. In turn, the base game ranked seventh.

The DLC is selling like hotcakes despite the technical problems that made Sunbreak collect only 64% positive ratings on Steam, which is categorized as mixed reception.

Despite these troubles, players do not lack enthusiasm. Yesterday Monster Hunter: Rise set a new activity record on Steam - at the hottest moment of Sunday, the game was played by 231,360 concurrent users.

Successful launches of DNF Duel and F1 22

Also a success was the release of the foghting game DNF Duel. It is a spin-off of the wildly popular Asian online game Dungeon Fighter Online, which focuses on one-on-one duels. The game was developed by Japanese studio Arc System Works, the creators of the Guilty Gear series.

Another successful title is F1 22, the latest installment of the popular racing series by Codemasters. Two different editions of th game took 6th and 10th spot in the list.

Steam's biggest hits of the past week (by revenue)

Raft is still riding the wave, having took the fourth spot on the bestseller list for the second consecutive time. The renaissance of the game is due to the largest update yet. The project was also not harmed by the 15% discount.

Still selling nicely are Tiny Tina's Wonderlands and Rust. In the case of the latter, the 50% price reduction from the Steam Summer Sale played a key role in this success.
