Fan-favorite mode returns in Battlefield 6, as shown in new gameplay. One feature hits a little too close to Call of Duty, though
Another leak from Battlefield Labs has convinced players that the sixth installment in the series is to draw inspiration from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The alpha version reveals the return of Rush mode.
The need to accept the confidentiality clause didn't stop the Battlefield Labs testers from sharing new information once again. This time, a 15-minute gameplay footage leaked, revealing that the Rush mode will return in the sixth installment of the shooter series. Electronic Arts has already removed the material. Meanwhile, fans of the series are sharing their first observations about it.
- The Rush mode is well known to players, as it has appeared in previous installments of the series (among others, in Battlefield 1 from 2016). In Rush mode, two teams clash, with one team tasked with defending the relays on the map and the other with destroying them. An essential element of the mode is the limited respawn of the attacking team members.
- Judging by the comments about the leak in the Reddit thread, players reacted well to the return of the mode. Additionally, many players noted that both visually and in terms of character movement, the gameplay is reminiscent of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare from 2019.
- There are also voices of criticism - opinions emerge that the action-oriented gameplay is decidedly too fast, and the weapons lack proper recoil. However, people still believe that the alpha version looks better than Battlefield 2042.
Although we are constantly bombarded with details that should not see the light of day, there is a lack of official information. EA DICE studio still hasn't revealed the release date for Battlefield 6. According to some reports, the situation is expected to change within the next two months.
