Fan-made Texture Pack to Deliver Minecraft x LEGO Crossover

A fan-made texture pack for Minecraft inspired by the popular LEGO bricks is being created. In addition to great performance, the pack is also expected to support advanced shading.

Most of you are surely aware of the popularity of LEGO bricks and have seen how much fun it can be to assemble them into almost any construction we can imagine. In the world of digital entertainment, Minecraft offers the closest thing we have to freedom of building, and if we called Mojang's game the LEGO of video games, surely there would be few to disagree. What if we combine the unlimited freedom that Minecraft offers with actual LEGO style? Here's the latest project from Reddit user macio6, who works on a texture pack modeled after the popular toy brand.

And although not much is known about the texture set itself yet, it fell to the liking of Reddit, as we can currently see quite a large number of positive reviews about it (almost 76 thousand). The author was only tempted to point out that the textures are to be adapted to the SEUS PTGI shading system. When will the texture pack launch? The date has not yet been specified, and the image presented on Reddit shows only the word "soon", but the author assures that the first version will appear after the completion of all the basic blocks.

Of course, texture packs based on LEGO bricks have appeared in Minecraft before, but they seemed unpolished, ill-considered and created relatively long ago. This project is probably designed with the latest version of the game in mind, and at first glance it looks much better than its old predecessors, if only by the fact that the blocks look like they were built from many other blocks.
