Runaway Pigs And Other Problems Plaguing Farming Simulator 22

Farming Simulator 22 has been released. Promptly, first reports of bugs have surfaced. These include escaping pigs, tractors spontaneously switching to reverse, and an endless update loop.

In a nutshell:

  1. Farming Simulator 22 has quite a long list of bugs;
  2. Among them we find runaway pigs, tractors driving spontaneously in reverse, and an endless loop of updates.

Farming Simulator 22, the latest installment of the popular farmer simulator series, launched yesterday. Of course, the release was not without some technical problems. There are a number of bugs in the game that, to a greater or lesser extent, interfere with the fun. Below we have included a list of bugs along with solutions.

Fixable bugs

While playing the latest game from Giants Software, we can encounter the first problems at the very start. If we have installed the Claas Trac pack, it can happen that the title will be locked in a continuous update loop. To fix this error, you need to enter the folder with your profile and delete the "updater" directory. Of course, this solution works only on PC.

After launching the game, however, it may turn out that we do not have any keys assigned in the controls. In this case, the only solution is to manually reconfigure all the buttons.

Some players also encountered a problem with completing contracts. In this case, owners of the PC version can fix it by going into the folder with the game saves and opening the "missions.xml" file in notepad. There you should find the line "expectedLiters" and change its value to "1".

DLSS can cause strange ghost-like artifacts to appear at night. To eliminate these, disable this option in the settings.

Problems without a solution

There are also some bugs in the game, for which there is currently no solution. For example, pigs can escape from their pens during feeding. Staying with animals - the health of horses does not increase, regardless of whether we feed them or not.

Workers are not always able to detect fields and consequently undertake work on them. At the moment, the most reports concern fields 4 in Haut-Beyleron and 47 in Elmcreek.

The tractors, on the other hand, are able to move spontaneously in reverse as soon as we enter it. Additionally, glitches appear in the game, e.g. when felling trees, and the pallets in greenhouses appear to be placed slightly below the soil surface

Of course, these are not all bugs that can be found in Farming Simulator 22. The full, continuously updated list is available here.
