UPDATE: The Judgment series on PC is now official!

Sega didn't keep us waiting long for confirmation of rumors about the PC versions of Judgment and Lost Judgment. The publisher first announced them on Twitter, and a few dozen minutes later they went on sale on Steam.

  1. Judgment on Steam
  2. Lost Judgment on Steam

Judgment costs $39.99, and Lost Judgment is sold at full price, that is $59.99.

It turns out that the announcement of Like a Dragon: Ishin is not the only attraction Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has prepared for its fans today. Also revealed was one new game that is a continuation of the storyline of Yakuza 6 and a lot of details were provided regarding Yakuza: Like a Dragon 2.

Like A Dragon Gaiden has been announced.

Also revealed was the project Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name.

  1. It's a side-scrolling installment of the series that's half the size of the typical game.
  2. The game is coming to PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5.
  3. The release will take place next year.
  4. It will be an action adventure game with an arcade combat system.
  5. The game is being developed for dedicated fans of the series who have followed it from the beginning.
  6. The action will take place between the sixth and seventh installments of the series, with Kazuma Kiryu as the main protagonist.
  7. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio fans have reason to be happy. A few hours ago we wrote about the announcement of Like a Dragon: Ishin, which is a remake of Yakuza: Ishin! from 2014.

New information about Yakuza: Like a Dragon 2

New details have also been revealed about Yakuza: Like a Dragon 2.

  1. We will wait until 2024 for the game.
  2. The title will be released on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5.
  3. It will be an RPG, just like the previous part of the series.
  4. The campaign is to be told from the perspective of two protagonists - Ichiban Kasuga (the main character of the seventh Yakuza) and Kazuma Kiryu.
  5. Each character will have his own team.

Judgement - Yakuza spin-off series is likely to come to PC

This is not the only good news for fans of Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio's creations. Everything indicates that we will live to see the PC versions of theJudgement series.

  1. The source is ESRB database, the US agency that rates video games.
  2. On the organization's website, in the profiles of Judgement and Lost Judgment, there were mentions of PC releases.
  3. Of course, until official confirmation, this information should be approached with caution, but these types of leaks from the ESRB very rarely turn out to be wrong.

These reports are a pleasant surprise, since until now it seemed that there was no chance of porting both parts of the series. The reason was conflict with the talent agency Johnny's Associates, which owns Takuya Kimura, who plays the lead role in both parts of the series. This company was blocking PC port of the series. It was speculated that the reason was concerns that fan modifications might damage the actor's good image.

The situation was so bad that Sega threatened to abandon the series, as the PC market is too important for the publisher not to port its biggest games. If the entries in the ESRB database are confirmed, it's likely that this threat had an effect and forced Johnny's Associates to change its approach.
