Former Rockstar employee says GTA 6 doesn't need another trailer and its price doesn't have to hit 100 bucks
Obbe Vermeij, who co-created the older installments of the GTA series, has spoken out about GTA 6. According to him, the hype surrounding the game is already so high that Rockstar only needs to announce a release date to be completely happy.

Obbe Vermeij, a former employee of Rockstar, shared some interesting facts about the iconic game on the 17th anniversary of the release of GTA 4. He posted these insights on X and also said a few words about the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 6.
Vermeij conveyed that the original launch date for GTA 4 was October 16, 2007, and the decision to delay the game was made in July of the same year. For this reason, in the context of the GTA 6 launch term, he is particularly looking forward to Take-Two's August financial report. However, we don't have any internal information that could shed more light on this issue.
Moreover, if it were up to him, he would not publish any additional trailers for GTA 6. In his opinion, the buzz around the game is already so big that if the company surprised the players, for instance, by just announcing a specific date, the launch would become an even bigger event.
Vermeij also referred to the potential price of GTA 6, which, according to rumors, may even be 100 bucks. The dev believes that this won't happen because the company makes huge money from the online mode, so it will rather focus on maximizing the number of players.
According to the latest official news, the release of GTA 6 is still scheduled for this fall on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.
