Fortnite Season 7 Starts Today; Superman and Rick and Morty as Battle Pass Skins

Today marks the launch of Season 7 in Fortnite Chapter 2. In it, the game world will be visited by Superman and cartoon heroes Rick and Morty.

Invasion, the seventh season of chapter 2, will launch any moment now in Fortnite. Servers are currently unavailable as they undergo an update process, but players should be able to resume playing soon.

As the title suggests, the storyline will revolve around the invasion of an alien army, which already started a few days ago with a series of alien abductions. However, these are not the only attractions that await fans in the game. The trailers announce events that will take place in Fortnite, featuring Superman and characters from the animated series Rick and Morty. In the case of both these crossovers we can expect new items and skins.

The next season will also traditionally bring additional weapons and map changes. There are also reports of changes in gameplay, including the crafting system. For details, however, we have to wait until the start of the update.

Along with the seventh season, a new battle pass will launch. Within it, battle stars will return, but in a changed form. We'll receive five of them every time we level up (by gaining experience points for completing challenges or buying pass levels for V-bucks), and we'll spend them on unlocking rewards.

The battle pass will also provide access to the skin of shape-shifting alien Kymera. The game will allow for a lot of freedom to customize his appearance and a total of over 800,000 combinations of head shape, eye and skin color, armor patterns and colors will be possible.
