It's been a long time since the release of the latest Armored Core game so fans of the series may be growing impatient. Fortunately, it seems that they'll get an announcement of the next part of the series soon. Screenshots have appeared in the web, supposedly coming from the yet undisclosed Armored Core 6.
The leak comes from a ResetEra forum user by the handle Red Liquorice. He revealed that a few days ago he received a survey from FromSoftware which contained information about the aforementioned game. The message did not provide its title, but it is supposed to be a science fiction game set in a world designed by Hidetaka Miyazaki. This developer is best known for his role in the creation of Dark Souls, but he also worked on three parts of Armored Core.
Moreover, the news contains information that the game will be set in a vast world full of dangers that only mech pilots can face. The fights will take place with the use of both firearms and melee weapons. The game will also enable us to customize machines by modifying their armament.
Red Liquorice also shared several screenshots, which were supposed to have been included in the survey he received. They show numerous shots of mechs fighting each other in various locations. Admittedly, they are partially covered, but it was enough to stir enthusiasm among fans of the brand, who are certain that the presented screenshots are from Armored Core 6.
However, we still have to wait for an official confirmation of these speculations. For now, FromSoftware has not commented on the leak.
