Game of Thrones from Telltale put on hold

Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series - Season Two won't be released any time soon. Telltale Games is giving the series a break and focusing on other projects.

Players won’t be seeing the second season of Telltale’s Game of Thrones any time soon. For now, the company has put that IP on hold, Job Stauffer said in an interview with Eurogamer. This doesn’t mean there will never be another season – the developer is simply busy enough with other projects. The same is true for another part of Tales from the Borderlands. Speaking of that IP, Stauffer said: “I think right now we want to see what Gearbox does next with the franchise”.

The story of the Forrester family will have to wait.

Lately, Telltale Games has announced that they are working on three big projects, apart from Guardians of the Galaxy and Minecraft: Story Mode – Season 2, which we have known of for some time now. These are: Batman: The Enemy Within, The Walking Dead: The Final Season and The Wolf Among Us: Season 2. While the first episode of the new Batman story is already out (the second one coming in late September), the two other series are planned to arrive in the second half of 2018.
