The anime Great Pretender has conquered Netflix in 2020. It's the story of a hapless Makoto Edamura forced to enter the criminal path in order to survive on his own. He engaged in petty theft and scamming people. But his life changes when he tries to rob another con artist, Laurent Thierry, together with whom he goes to Los Angeles. The con artists initial rivalry turns into cooperation in a colorful group of other criminals. The production is divided into four different cases handled by Makoto and Laurent's team.

Where to watch Great Pretender Razbliuto?

This year, the Great Pretender anime got a sequel, which briefly appeared in cinemas in January, and is now available on streaming. Great Pretender Razbliuto is available to watch on Crunchyroll since February 22. The film tells the story of Dorothy, a self-proclaimed brilliant con artist who dragged the infamous Laurent Thierry into the world of crime. Unluckily this time she was defeated at her own game by Shanghai Longu Bang and was presumed dead. As it turns out, however, this isn’t true, and Dorothy, after some time, appears out of nowhere in a small seaside village. Fleeing from criminals, she heads to Kyoto, but there's no telling what awaits her there....

As Great Pretender, Razbliuto also was directed by Hiro Kaburagi. Ryota Kosawa, meanwhile, is the screenwriter of the anime produced by WIT Studio.
