GTA 5 needs no introduction to anyone. The title was released back in the days of the previous generation of consoles, and has lived to see various editions on multiple platforms. In anticipation of GTA 6, Rockstar decided to release another version of GTA 5 on PC - Enhanced, which introduces, among other things, ray tracing or new content for GTA Online. This iteration was supposed to be made available for free to current GTA 5 owners. Sadly, not all people can get it, players who have the game on Epic Games have issues with redeeming it.

GTA V Enhanced – Problems with free access and 7002.1 error explained

Are you an owner of the basic version of GTA V? Have you been waiting for the free upgrade to the Enhanced edition, and nothing has happened? Unfortunately, you're not the only one. Many players who own the title on Epic Games' platform are facing this problem. EGS itself is aware of it, as evidenced by a message published on X. Fortunately, it appears that the Enhanced Edition should soon be achievable for every owner of this game.

Some “lucky” people, on the other hand, “gained access” to the Enhanced Edition, however, they encountered another problem, related to the 7002.1 error. They have the option to download the Enhanced Edition, but they cannot launch the game after doing so (hence the error). Fortunately, at the time of writing this news, a large number of people have already dealt with this problem. It is possible that it was connected to the same Epic Games Store issues.
