ArenaNet studio announced the fifth expansion for the popular MMORPG Guild Wars 2. Among the new features will be the long-awaited housing system.
Guild Wars 2 has been available on the market for nearly 12 years and continues to have an incredibly loyal community and ongoing development. The game will soon receive its fifth major expansion titled Janthir Wilds, which will take us to the unexplored, first region of Tyria.
The story of the expansion begins after the events of Secrets of the Obscure. Players will travel to the wild region of Janthir, where they will uncover the mystery of a magical threat causing devastation in the natural world alongside its tribal inhabitants.
The biggest novelty will be the long-awaited housing system called Homesteads. The devs describe it as the most player-friendly housing system in MMORPG games. Players will be able to decorate their homes as they see fit, and then show them off to friends or guild members.
Janthir Wilds also introduces many other attractions, including:
Importantly, the content of the expansion will be released in parts - just like in the case of Secrets of the Obscure.
Guild Wars 2: Janthir Wilds will be released on August 20.
The game's basic version costs €24.99. If you choose to buy during the pre-sale, you will also receive a bonus weapon set, shoulder pads, a title, shared inventory space, and an item enabling an instant advancement to level 80.
Deluxe version is also available (€49.99) and Ultimate (€74.99), containing an even larger number of exclusive items.
The devs also announced that Guild Wars 2 and all its expansions will come to the Epic Games Store this summer.
