Hard West is out; gets positive reviews

Hard West is now available. This turn-based tactical strategy game from a Polish developer is getting mostly positive reviews both from critics and players.

After a two-week delay, Hard West finally launched on PC yesterday. We have heard a lot of interesting news on this XCOM-meets-Wild-West-meets-demons turn-based tactical strategy created by Polish studio CreativeForge Games. Now its time to see how this intriguing title is actually doing. Early reviews are mostly positive (see Metacritic score), although probably not so enthusiastic as the developers would have hoped for. It is also nice to see most Steam users recommend Hard West, so this really may be a nice alternative for players who enjoyed XCOM: Enemy Unknown and are not afraid of horror-like stylistics.

Right now Hard West is available on Steam, GOG.com and Humble Store with a 20% discount. This means the game can be picked up for $15.99, or 19.99 if you fancy the Collector’s Edition. The offer expires on November 25.

Hard West lets you play as Warren, an undead cowboy who gets a chance for revenge on those who murdered him in cold blood. With devilish powers at his disposal and a group of equally extraordinary companions, he sets out on his bloody quest.
