Wednesday’s Pokémon Presents announced a lot of new information about current and upcoming Pokémon games. From the latest Pokemon Unite, to the upcoming Pokémon Legends Arceus. The presentation was live-streamed Wednesday, but you can catch up on the information here.

The Pokemon Company announced two newcomers to Pokémon Unite, Mamoswine and Sylveon. It was not announced when exactly these Pokemon would join the game, but it is exciting to see new Pokemon already joining the roster. Hopefully this is a trend that will continue for Pokemon Unite. The game will also be coming to mobile on September 22nd, with Switch crossplay.

The Pokemon Company also released long awaited new information on the upcoming Pokemon Diamond and Pearl remakes; Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl. Many beloved features from the original games are making a return in the remakes, from Pokemon Contests, to the Underground, and even the ability to put stickers on Pokeballs. The long awaited remakes were also announced to arrive on the Switch on November 19th, 2021.

The final announcements of the presentation focused on Pokemon Legends Arceus. The game looked quite a lot better than it did in the original announcement. Movement was a lot smoother, there were more wild Pokemon, and the town was actually full of other characters. The game takes place in the Hisui Region, which will eventually be known as the Sinnoh Region, which is where Pokemon Diamond and Pearl take place.

Many new features were also revealed along with several new Pokemon. Trainers can actually be attacked and hurt by wild Pokemon in this game, which makes sneaking through the tall grass a lot more important. It was also revealed that certain strong Pokemon will become enraged and act as boss battles in some way. Stantler and Basculin got new evolutions in Wyrdeer and Basculegion respectively. Growlithe and Braviary also appear as Hisuian Regional forms with new typings and appearances. Wyrdeer, Basculegion, and Braviary are also rideable, likely opening up more areas for exploration.

Pokemon’s 25th Anniversary is starting to shape up with these exciting games on the way. Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will arrive on the Switch on November 19th of this year, while Pokemon Legends Arceus will arrive on January 28th, 2022. Pre-Orders are also available now for both games.

Which of these announcements was the most exciting to you? Which game are you looking forward to the most? Leave a comment below to let us know!
