Here's 10 minutes of Atomic Heart
Russian developer Mundfish studios have released 10 minutes of gameplay footage from their upcoming FPS - Atomic Heart.
ATOMIC HEART IN A NUTSHELL:
- Developer: Mundfish
- Publisher: Mundfish
- Genre: FPS
- Release date: unknown
- Platforms: PC, PS4, Xbox One
IGN's YouTube channel posted a 10-minute footage of Mundfish studio's intriguing FPS Atomic Heart. The material comes from the PlayStation 4 version (judging by the button icons) and gives a solid insight into both the gameplay and the game’s characteristic atmosphere.
What do we see in the video? There are some familiar-looking vehicles, some robots that look like B-grade science fiction movie mannequins and a building complex that evokes similar associations. There are also a few very unusual windmills, something that resembles aircraft and strange, transparent bubbles.... covering the crowns of some trees. Finally, we also have a nasty, giant crosshair that seems to be one of those ideas that only developers the like.
In general, the game looks decent and gives off some BioShock vibes. The production certainly cannot be denied originality, but the creators still have a lot of work to do – especially in terms of optimization, because the fps counter sometimes leaves a lot to be desired (fortunately it's still a pre-alpha version, so the release is probably still quite far away).
Atomic Heart will be release on PC, as well as PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles. The title will take us to an alternative, futuristic version of the Soviet Union. Playing the role of one P-3 – a special agent – we will try to investigate the mystery of the secret laboratory 3826, after the facility unexpectantly went silent. In addition to the investigation, we will also have to fight – we will have a rich arsenal of various types of weapons at our disposal. Interestingly, the PC version of the game will support ray tracing technology, thanks to which it should look quite impressive.
