Museum or Spaceship? No, it's Hideo Kojima's New Studio

On the occasion of Kojima Productions' seventh anniversary, the company showed off its renovated Tokyo headquarters. We must admit that the place is really impressive.

There is no doubt that a workplace is a testament to the owner. As such, Hideo Kojima has made sure that his studio inspires as much admiration as the games coming out of it. To mark the seventh anniversary of Kojima Productions' founding, the company boasted about its newly renovated headquarters in Tokyo. Looking at the video below, one gets the impression that the developers' old-new home is now a museum of modern art (via Games Radar).

If you'd like a closer look at this breathtaking property, you can do so thanks to the following footage. During the virtual tour, which lasts more than 9 minutes (led by Akio Otsuka, a famous Japanese voice actor who has worked with Kojima for many years), you will see the effects of the changes, compared by the creators themselves to a transformation into a spaceship. As the narrator notes, the headquarters is meant to reflect the spirit and innovative nature of the company.

The fact that we are dealing with the offices of Kojima Productions is telegraphed at the very beginning with the studio's mascot, Ludens. Later in the walk, we visit, among other things, a square where employees can get some fresh air, and an exhibition of awards and materials commemorating the company's past activities. There was also a presentation of the cafeteria, dressing rooms, huge office spaces and rooms where the things we are most interested in, namely video game production, happen.

All in all, the new look of the Kojima HQ is incredibly impressive and perfectly reflects the rough road the company has gone through since its beginnings in 2015. The refreshed space will surely translate into even more efficient employees and thus many amazing projects.
