What is Spirit in Wo Long Fallen Dynasty?
In many soulslike games, players have to carefully plan their next moves, paying attention not only to what is happening on the screen, but also keeping an eye on their stamina. This is more or less what the Spirit bar is. It can have both positive and negative values. If your Spirit bar has a positive value, you will have access to powerful attacks like Martial Arts or Wizardry Spells.
If the gauge fills to the very end of the negative value, the character will be stunned for a period of time. You can't do anything in this state. When the bar goes back to 0 (the center), you will be able to move again. Enemies also have Spirit (and it works in the same way in their case).
How to increase Spirit in Wo Long Fallen Dynasty
To gain access to better attacks, you need to gain positive Spirit. You will receive it every time you hit an enemy, or parry enemy attacks. This will also cause their Spirit bar to decrease.
