Smalland Survive the Wilds is an innovative survival game with a not so common setting. In this game, the player is very tiny. Mushrooms are as tall as trees and trees are skyscraper-sized. You must also avoid hostile insects and animals that pose a constant threat (or you can turn on the Peaceful mode). This concept may remind some players of Grounded, and they wouldn't be wrong - the two games share many similarities. To survive, players must gather resources, build a base and craft better equipment. You will need bark and nectar to do that.

Getting Nectar in Smalland is quite easy. You have to look for Poppies. These are red flowers. You can cut them down even with a basic Wood Hatchet (one of the first tools you craft). They are in the whole forest. However, you can find them even quite close to the starting location.

Of course, while looking for Poppies, watch out for hostile creatures. Very often, there are some bees in the vicinity of the flowers.
The Nectar is very useful, especially if you want to tame a Ladybug. To do this, you need to create a Ladybug travel kit, and one of the ingredients to make it is Nectar. To learn more about the process read our article: How to Tame in Smalland; All Animals and Treats.

To get this resource, you need to go to the west of the forest. You can find some bark on the beaches on the South of the NPC Skadi. It is also possible to find this resource among the trees – look in the vicinity of the NPC Lisandra. However, the location presented on the map above is full of the Bark pieces (don’t mind Gravestones). Remember that beaches are full of dangerous creatures.

Bark is very useful; thanks to it you will unlock many building blueprints. To get it you must equip a Flint pickaxe or better. To make this tool you need:
If you don’t know how to get Flint, we write about it in this article.
