Space Marine 2 Is here. Some players wonder how to play with others. We will answer this question.
If you have bought Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2 in Gold or Ultra Editions, you can start the game right now, without delay… well… you may have problems with servers, stutters or crushes. Regardless, if you overcome the issues, you can play with friends… not right away, no… sorry. First of all, you have to play solo.

So, you are here because you want to play online with friends or strangers… you can. However, first of all you need to complete tutorial. To do that, you have to start a new game and follow a campaign for a little bit. After the first mission, you will unlock a hub. A big ship, hard to miss. It is the place where you can start your multiplayer adventures.
Now, you need to go to the terminal which is near the shuttle. We present it above. There, you may choose modes. There are 3 to pick – Operation, Campaign and Eternal War.
Keep in mind that if you want to collect all collectibles called Dataslates, you have to play Campaign and Operation. Don’t worry if you miss any though, you can replay missions.
Moreover, in the description of some mission there is information that you should progress campaign. Think of it as a spoiler warning. You can unlock these missions at any point. Just click them. However, you will learn some plot nuances ahead of time.
If you want to play with friends, you should invite them before picking a mission. Otherwise, you will be randomly assign to other players. To gather friends, click Y in the hub (or an equivalent if you use a controller, you can see a prompt in the upper right corner of the screen). There is a code, which you can send to others or a place to write someone else’s code.
