IN A NUTSHELL:
  • The devs have shared another video regarding I.G.I. Origins;
  • The game will focus on the dangers of the Cold War;
  • It is supposed to offer a credible representation of the role of a spy from that period.

New footage advertising the upcoming I.G.I. Origins was published online. The creators shared more information about the game. They revealed that it is extremely important for them to recreate the atmosphere and realities of the 80s. Their game is to offer authentic experience of being a cold war era spy.

The developers said that in order to build the right mood it was necessary to create a sense of constant tension. The plot will focus on the threats connected to the specter of nuclear conflict between the USSR and the USA. The first mission takes us back to 1979, and subsequent ones will be set in the most turbulent period of the 1980s.

What's more, the creators are pay particular attention to the equipment we'll get our hands on. All pistols and rifles will be meticulously recreated to correspond as much as possible to those that existed in the given period.

Not only elements of the main character's equipment, but also movements are to be realistic. In the above material, the creators shared information on how the motion capture sessions were conducted. They were carried out with the participation of experts, who were to give the character's movements a naturalness and mannerisms that could characterize a real spy from that period.

Unfortunately, we'll still have to wait to experience all of these elements in person, because a month ago it was announced that the release of I.G.I. Origins has been delayed. Unfortunately, we don't know the game's new debut date yet.
