iPhones With Fortnite Sold for Several Thousand Dollars
Various auction services offer iPhone with Fortnite installed. Prices for such devices can reach several thousand dollars.
If you're following industry news closely, you're well aware of the on-going conflict between two big corporations - Apple and Epic Games. The controversy began when Fortnite's developers wanted to dodge the 30% revenue share in the App Store, which led to the removal of the app from the store (you can read more about the whole action and its development here).
For now, this means that players cannot download the latest version of Fortnite on iOS devices. Some people have decided to take advantage of this situation to earn some money. On the most popular auction websites there have been bids for various iPhone models with the latest version of the game already installed. Prices vary, but some people want up to $7,000 (although there are bids for $40,000).
It is worth noting, however, that if the situation between Epic Games and Apple is not resolved, even on phones with Fortnite already installed the user will not be able to download the latest updates in the future, which means that normal playing will simply not be possible. So it seems virtually pointless to buy such a device.
