Ready or Not is a popular SWAT game. Your task is to apprehend criminals during the most dangerous situations. It is a difficult job, but someone has to do it. Of course, you can make it even more complicated if you want to, as 1.0 update introduced Ironman mode. Let’s learn more about it.

Ironman Mode in Ready or Not

Developers from Void Interactive implemented a new mode called “Commander”. It is a single player experience of Ready or Not. It is also characterized by some interesting mechanics, among others, you may turn it into an ironman mode:

  1. Ironman – it is permadeath; yes, if you die, you will lose your character and your save will be erased, too. It is turned off by default, but you can turn it on from the main menu; go to Singleplayer and Commander mode. There are some cosmetic rewards to win for this extra effort.
  2. 3 Save Slots – because of the above, you can have 3 slots for characters. It will allow various players to test their skills or you will be able to check different approaches without a possibility to lose your ironman account.
  3. Exfiltration – once you understand that you will not be able to success in the mission, you may retreat and cut losses. You have to go back to the starting area.
  4. Stress – Your actions will influence your teammates. Put lives in danger too many times and they will have to go on therapy or leave your team permanently.
  5. Traits – a dozen or so modifiers who affect your officers. They will become available when you play missions with them.

The single player mode is not the easiest one, but that is the point. However, developers promised to monitor feedback around this game, so it may change in the nearest future a little bit based on fans’ opinions.
