X-Men '97 made its debut on Disney+ this year. It's Marvel's TV series about a group of mutants and themes of this title are equality and acceptance. The production has received a very warm reception and is highly rated by viewers and reviewers alike, which isn’t at all surprising – it's a very good TV show that you still can't get enough of. And although season 1 will soon come to an end, fans don’t’ need worry, as season 2 has already been announced and is being worked on.

Some people are probably wondering whether X-Men '97 is a continuation of X-Men: The Animated Series, or perhaps a remake of that title. So we rush to clarify. X-Men '97 is a continuation, so what happened to the characters in the 1992 TV series, took place in the past of the characters in the new production, which tells their further story. At the same time, it was created in such a way that familiarity with X-Men: The Animated Series isn’t necessary, so if someone hasn't seen that title and doesn't want to catch up (although it's worth it), it's safe to start with X-Men '97.

But while familiarity isn’t required, as the X-Men '97 showrunner himself noted, watching at least some episodes of X-Men: The Animated Series can help prepare you for certain events. And so before the 3-part finale, he recommended some episodes of the 1992 TV series. You can learn more about it here.

The finale of X-Men '97 will launch this week, with the first episode to be available in May 1. Below you can watch the final trailer for the TV show.
