Gameplays from two canceled projects have leaked to the web. The first one is an action game Treadstone, set in the world of Jason Bourne, which seems to be a mix between GTA IV and Splinter Cell: Conviction, and the second - Scarface Empire.
The Mafia Game Videos channel on YouTube has posted video footage of Treadstone, a TPP action game canceled in 2008. Treadstone is based on the Jason Bourne series of novels by Robert Ludlum.
The video presents the history of this project and includes an extensive piece of gameplay from an early version.
The video looks impressive, especially when you consider that the project was abandoned in 2008. The whole thing looks like a mix of Grand Theft Auto IV and Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction and it's a shame that the game never saw the light of day.
The license was later taken over by Electronic Arts, but the resulting project developed by Starbreeze Studios was not finished either.
Vivendi Games' merger with Activision resulted in the cancelation of many projects in order to cut costs. Apart from Treadstone a new Spider-Man game was abandoned as well as Scarface Empire, which is a continuation of Scarface: The World is Yours.
It's worth mentioning that the day before yesterday Mafia Game Videos channel published the second part of the video with fragments of gameplay from Scarface Empire.
