Chernobylite's New Story Missions Explore the Real Zone

Chernobylite has received an update with new adventures and challenges. A paid DLC has also been released.

A second major post-release update to Chernobylite, survival horror game by Polish studio The Farm 51, has been released. The game also received a new paid expansion.

Season 2 Update: Red Trees

The patch is called Season 2: Red Trees and it brings many new features:

  1. VR Games - a mode inspired by roguelike games. In it, using the VR googles (you will find it in the base game) you will be talen to a fractal world, where you will face hordes of enemies in several arenas, each of which is more difficult than the previous one.
  2. Ghost of the Past - is a set of six new story missions, in which Tatiana appears in Igor's dreams, encouraging him to visit different places in Chernobyl and discover their true history.
  3. Ability to build a player's private corner in the base to relax between expeditions to the Zone.

Red Trees Pack DLC

At the same time a paid DLC was released entitled Red Trees Pack. It's small and cheap (on Steam you can buy it for around $2.50) expansion that provides a set of additional skins for our base.

As you can see, free new content available in the update is much more impressive than what the paid DLC offers.

Chernobylite was released in 2021, first on PC (after less than two years of early access), and then on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. In turn, two months ago we saw the release of improved editions for Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5.

Finally, it is worth mentioning that as part of the Steam Summer Sale Chernobylite can currently be purchased for less than $20, 30% cheaper than the standard price. Most of the DLC was also discounted.
