Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has simple but brilliant anti-cheat: Henry's enthusiasm gets in the way of stealing and sneaking behind enemies' backs
The photo mode in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 can be used to cheat while sneaking. Or at least it could be, if not for Henry's loud comments.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is a single-player game, so it's obvious that it doesn't have any anti-cheat system. Nevertheless, the game includes a mechanism that could theoretically be described this way, as it stops players from cheating with one of the core functions.
Photo mode allows cheating?
We're referring to the photo mode, which has become very popular in video games lately, so it had to be included in KCD 2 as well. This feature enables unrestricted movement and rotation of the camera at our discretion to find the optimal angle for taking a photo.
However, this mode can also provide us with information that couldn't be obtained in any other way. Although the camera movement is limited, it turns out to be sufficient to peek around the corner. In this way, we will catch, for instance, guards that Henry has no right to see under normal conditions.
This option can be extremely useful in stealth sections, for example when we are trying to steal an important item. Thanks to the photo mode, we can check in such a situation if someone isn't approaching us. And at least we could, if it wasn't for Henry sabotaging us.
Anti-cheat Henry
When the photo mode is turned off, the main character loudly expresses his comment, wanting to praise our creativity. Henry's resonant voice will easily wake up the sleeping guards and attract the attention of people in the vicinity.
This is how the developers at Warhorse Studios ensured that players couldn't exploit the photo mode to cheat while playing. However, players don't blame the developers for this, on the contrary - they are delighted with the extremely creative solution and are eager to share their stories related to it.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 was released a month ago, on February 4, 2025, on PC, PS5, and XSX/S. Recently, the devs revealed new information about the upcoming hardcore mode for the game.
